The curriculum consists subject groups and interdisciplinary courses.
The sub-discipline courses are consistent with the national curriculum standards for nine-years of compulsory education, offering eight balanced subjects to ensure a solid foundation of knowledge. The integration of Chinese and Western cultures, is the foundation of the courses with basic and comprehensive teaching to develop students' knowledge, skills, attitudes and understanding of the world in a globalised society.
Guided by MYP subject courses, the interdisciplinary courses are combined with the local environment, to design the corresponding interdisciplinary themes. The purpose of the interdisciplinary courses is to provide students with the opportunity to apply a broad range of subject knowledge, to understand the interdisciplinary connections, and to abstract the commonality of knowledge and the universal approach to understanding the world.
Our plan is for the teachers and students of Years 7 and 9 to have Overseas Classes at PLC in Australia for one month every academic year. The teachers at PLC will give lessons to students, which will strengthen the students' English learning, and also experience the different cultures within a developed country. Established for more than 100 years, PLC has a profound education, high-quality teaching achievements and an excellent teaching team.
